Overview

TikiT is our answer to a workflow system. It is Cloud Based but can be hosted locally in your own data centers. A simple explanation describing TikiT is to imagine being able to design any questionnaire, using your favorite editor such as word, excel or powerpoint and adding questions that require either a text answer or perhaps a bunch of tick boxes asking to select only one of the boxes or the ones that are most correct. Perhaps a place for someone to stick a photo and a place to write down the date and time something was done. Now that you have approved the questionnaire, you print multiple copies and distribute them to your staff which they put on clipboard and complete every time they do a specific task. If they have different types of tasks, you would design multiple questionnaires and your staff would select the correct form to fill in at the time that they do their task. Your staff then hand in the questionnaire at the end of the day/week/month and someone captures the data into some old boring backend system which no one uses and the data is saved but forgotten.

TikiT enables you to create multiple digital questionnaires using your Web Browser, which you can then share with your staff. Your staff via our smart phone app are then able to fill in the relevant questionnaire when they perform a task. The major advantage is that every time any question on the questionnaire is answered by your staff, the answer is sent to the server and logged with UserName, DateAndTime, GPSLocation, Question, Answer. This is powerful in that it provides a crumbtrail of your staff's physical GPS locations and what they were doing. You are able to measure the time it takes between answering questions and its live data you can view in real time. The other major benefit is that because the questionnaire is answered using a smartphone, we can leverage the devices sensors such as GPS to locate, Camera to take pictures or scan barcodes and qr codes, Accelerometer to detect movement/vibration, Speaker to detect sound/decibels, NFC(Near field Communication) to scan NFC cards/chips to name a few. All these things can be used in a questionnaire, providing endless solutions to everyday problems.

Some examples:

• Time & Attendance - Staff take a selfie when they get to work and when they leave work

• Vehicle Inspection - Staff need to sign off that their pool vehicle they are taking is not damaged. If so they need to tick which parts of the vehicle are damaged and take a pic of each item damaged.

• Potholes - Take a picture of the pothole. Admin can then assign to a team to go fix it. Due to having the GPS location and a visual of the damage the repair team can take the correct amount of supplies and resource to get the job done

• Pothole Repair - The repair team attends to the pothole “Job Card” that they were assigned above and starts the questionnaire which requires them to take a before and after picture. You can now measure how long it takes to fix a pothole and look back historically as a benchmark to measure how efficiently you teams are working.

• Street Sweeping Roster - Relevant staff have questionnaires Monday through Sunday. Each day instructs them which street or sections they need to sweep which they tick off as they work throughout the day.

• Tools - Tools can be barcoded/qrcoded and scanned in/out of stores. Almost anything can be barcoded resulting in endless opportunities to run a more efficient business.

The options are endless but the principle is still the same and very simple.

We provide reports, maps and dashboards to visually view your staff and their progress live in real time as well as looking back historically.

We have API which allows for other systems to integrate into TikiT and API which allows TikiT to push data to 3rd party systems such as your accounting system.

TikiT is an Open-Source Cloud platform which we developed locally in South Africa and the source code is freely available on Github.
